Conservation + Environmental Work
For many years I have gravitated towards visually exploring man’s relationship to our changing environment and to the impact we humans have on the natural world. With how we are exacerbating climate change. My hope is to create work that is first and foremost visually interesting, and that elicits a dialog with the viewer.
Each series moves from a loose version which gives direction to what mediums will work to convey the imagery. My series Restoring the Wetlands, Bees and their Habitat, Coal Mining and its Impact, employ printmaking, collage, drawing, paint, and carving.

Apocalypse
The three paintings here have to do with man’s interaction with our environment which has contributed to climate change. I was motivated to visually react to concerns we all have for the dramatic changes we’re seeing in our environment: the frequency, intensity, and duration of these climate patterns. I intended these works to be lyrical yet eliciting a thoughtful response from the viewer.
