Plein Air painting offers so many pleasures. Painting outside one experiences color changes with time of day, weather patterns of cloud movement, wetness and wind. The sounds, the smells, the painter’s mood all affect how each painting develops. The thrill and challenge of capturing that moment in time never fails!

My studio work presents a very different challenge. It is all about the mark making and palette choices to keep the composition fresh. A delicate balance achieved by thoughtful progress and willingness to be flexible to letting the magic happen.
